Ruth Williams Ruth Williams, MSc is Managing Director of the Fundraising Association Austria (Fundraising Verband Austria), where she leads the development of Austria’s fundraising profession and nonprofit sector. She brings more than 20 years of experience in communications, corporate partnerships, philanthropy, and nonprofit leadership.
Before joining the Fundraising Association Austria, she served as Secretary General of the Austrian Association for Charitable Foundations and held senior fundraising and CSR roles at Caritas Austria. Earlier in her career, she worked as Publicity Manager for The Walt Disney Company Austria. Ruth holds an MSc in Sustainability & Responsible Management from the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna and has completed executive training in nonprofit management. She serves on the boards of the European Fundraising Association and Bündnis Gemeinnützigkeit, contributing to the advancement of philanthropy and civil society across Europe. A frequent speaker, author, and podcast guest, she is particularly passionate about ethical fundraising, philanthropy, social impact, and sustainable nonprofit leadership. She is a native German and English speaker and is based in Vienna, Austria.
